Y5 Great Christmas Bake Off

Class: Year 5 Year: 2021 - 2022

Year 5's class novel, 'Street Child' by Berlie Doherty, told the story of Jim Jarvis, a young boy who was helped by Dr Thomas Barnardo in the Victorian era. Dr Barnardo went on to help thousands of vulnerable children and eventually set up the charity Barnardo's. Over 150 years later, their vision remains the same: no child should ever be turned away. Year 5 held a Great Christmas Bake Off to raise money for Barnardo's. It was a lot of fun as well as raising money for a worthy cause.
