School Dinners

School dinners are available every day and offer the children an option of hot meal, vegetarian meal, sandwich or jacket potato. The current menus are attached below or can be obtained from the school office. All our dinners are cooked on site by our wonderful caterers - Mellors - and their brilliant staff, Shannon and Rebecca!

We run a 3 week cycle for the menu and there are regular 'special' menus throughout the year which are always advertised on Class Dojo beforehand.  Children are welcome to switch between packed lunches and hot dinners as they wish - all they need to do is tell us which option they are having when we complete registers at the start of the school day! Children then choose their own meal each day at the counter....

Please contact school if you have any queries or your child has any specific dietary requirements. We are always able to adapt arrangements to meet any dietary needs or allergies.

St. John's is a nut free school and we ask that all members of our school community refrain from bringing any product containing nuts onto our school site.

In addition to Mellors 'cooking up' special days we have been delighted to take part in lots of extra activities including bread making for Year 5, smoothie making using the extra special smoothie bike to mix the ingredients and also the visit of the Big Red Bus which is their fantastic mobile dining room (which only just fit through the gates)

Special menus are laid on throughout the year and have included a 'Mexican fiesta day' on May 5th a 'Best of British' week to help celebrate our King's coronation, World Book Day themed meals, fireworks and even curry week!
