Ancient Egyptian Exploration - Our Trip to The Atkinson

Lesson: History

Class: Year 4 Year: 2019 - 2020

On Wednesday 20th November, Year 4 went on a trip to the Atkinson in Southport to learn more about ancient Egypt. We were so excited to go!

Firstly, we had an Ancient Egyptian workshop by Gemma. She was so impressed with our current knowledge of ancient Egypt. She showed us different artefacts, we created an Egyptian game and we visited the museum to learn about even more artefacts! Gemma said she was so impressed with our class. She said we were the most engaged class she had ever had! Miss Moss was very proud of us!

Olivia and Zachary demonstreated the Mummification stages! Don't worry, it wasn't on any of the other pupils...

In the afternoon, we watched the Mrs Goodison performance. We learnt about her journey to Egypt and her discoveries. The performance was entertaining and interesting to watch.

We had a great time - can we do it all over again?

Thank you to Mr and Mrs Corbett who volunteered their time to come with us! They were impressed with how well we represented St John's and said that our behaviour was excellent!
